Iowa City Graffiti (Statue of Liberty)

I'm just not quite sure what to think about this. So many different things it could mean, good and bad.

...Huh.
I don't think I like that, because it makes me think of the news story I saw today about how much gun sales have gone up since Obama was elected. People who think their most important civil right is the right to wave a gun around scare me.

Well, me too, though Iowa City has a lot of liberals and a lot of students, so this could well be a clumsy attempt at satirizing that attitude, instead of a genuine expression of it. As I've thought about it since I took the picture (which was 10 Nov), I lean more toward the theory that it's probably meant to be taken at face value, not satire. That's unnerving, but if it doesn't go any further than stencils and spray paint, I don't suppose I mind particularly.

I first saw that on a wall by the walkway behind Currier/Stanley mid August, except that it was more defined than the one in your picture.
