Pretty pictures: Vandachostylis Lilac Blossom

Another new orchid genus. Or, well, a new nothogenus, anyway. Interesting?



Vandachostylis Lilac Blossom = Rhynchostylis coelestis x Vanda ampullacea (Ref.)

I'm more of a creepy-crawly orchid guy (and I don't think I'll ever have the light [or the space] for a plant like this one), but the lilac colour of the flower is really nice. Is it fragrant?

I don't know. It's always sort of a challenge to try to figure out which smells are coming from which plants (or people) when the plants are all crammed together and the people are all moving around.
