Pretty picture: Paphiopedilum Lady Isabel

Am I getting used to my LCD monitor, or is this two not-bad pictures in a row?

A good background really does make a huge difference.

Paphiopedilum Lady Isabel = Paphiopedilum rothschildianum x Paphiopedilum stonei

Nice picture and nice paph.
I have this cross and I think it is large enough to bloom. Just needs a bit of convincing ...

Nice orchid... I do like the things... when I see blooms like this, it makes me wish I had conditions to grow them.

If you can grow tropicals, most likely you'd be successful with multifloral paphs, especially hybrids. I provide mine with warmth and bright light and had St.Swithin and PEoY bloomed on the window with 40% (and less during winter) RH.
You should give it a try, even though you hate orchids, paphs deserve exception.
I think St.Swithin might be the easiest to try.
